This project proposes the development of a personal portfolio website hosted on a cloud-based Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) platform, specifically Microsoft Azure. The website will serve as a professional online presence showcasing my skills, academic background, and projects completed during my studies at Murdoch University. The site will be built using HTML and CSS and deployed on an Ubuntu Linux virtual machine running the Apache web server. The portfolio will include several key sections: an About Me page introducing my background and study goals, a Skills section highlighting technical competencies gained through my ICT studies, and a Projects section documenting work completed throughout my degree. The website will be fully accessible via a public IP address, demonstrating practical knowledge of cloud deployment and server configuration. By hosting this portfolio on Azure, I will gain hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, Linux command-line environments, and web server management. This aligns directly with the learning outcomes of ICT171, which focuses on implementing and configuring cloud-based IaaS servers. The project will demonstrate my ability to set up and manage a live web server in a real-world cloud environment, a critical skill for any IT professional. The final deliverable will be a fully functional, publicly accessible website running continuously on my Azure virtual machine.
